Arriving after the trains you need have finished does not automatically mean an airport-to-hotel taxi. N6002 is one documented night-bus option from Incheon Airport through Hongik University, Gwanghwamun, Dongdaemun and Cheongnyangni. Use it only if one of those stops makes sense for your hotel and you can complete the final leg.

Mind the date: 00:30 is after midnight at the start of the next calendar day. If your flight lands on Monday at 23:15 and you choose a 00:30 departure, that bus leaves on Tuesday. Use the bus departure date when checking notices or tickets.
Fare and ticket checks before walking to the stand
The operator’s current English route panel lists ₩17,000 adult / ₩10,000 child aged 6–12 and “Ticket Only.” The T1 panel instructs city-bound passengers to purchase tickets at an airport self-service ticket machine. Operator’s route and fare panel.
An older airport night-bus notice shows different fare and boarding guidance. Because official pages disagree, use the machine’s current N6002 departure, fare and boarding information before paying. Carry enough flexibility for the displayed fare; do not rely on an old article promising tap-on boarding.
Use airport exit time, not aircraft landing time
The useful question is when you will be ready at the bus stop after immigration, bags, customs, phone setup and ticket purchase. Do not subtract a universal immigration allowance: queues and walking distance differ.
Worked example: if you are ready at T2 at 00:20, the published next departure is 00:40, twenty minutes later. If you are not ready until 01:30, the listed next one is 03:40, a wait of two hours ten minutes. Those two arrivals call for very different choices even though both are “late at night.” The example is arithmetic from the timetable, not a predicted waiting time after your flight.
Match the drop-off to the hotel
- Hongdae area: compare the Hongik University stop with the exact accommodation address and luggage walk.
- Gwanghwamun or central Seoul: check the Four Seasons Hotel/Gwanghwamun stop against your final destination. Central Seoul is too large to treat as one drop-off.
- Dongdaemun: verify that the Heunginjimun Gate stop is the one you need; a hotel branded Dongdaemun can be some distance away.
- Another district: a late bus plus a long taxi leg may lose its advantage. Compare a direct taxi quote or another operator’s verified route before buying.
When to choose rail, a taxi or an airport-area stay
Rail: if the airport railroad and your final connection are still running, compare that journey before waiting for a night bus. Check your terminal, direction and service type on AREX; an express-train timetable is not the same as an all-stop timetable.
Taxi: consider a direct airport taxi when the next bus gap is long, your hotel is away from the bus route, or moving luggage after the bus is impractical. Use the airport’s designated taxi arrangement and obtain the applicable fare/estimate. This guide does not quote a flat fare for every Seoul address.
Airport-area accommodation: compare a confirmed room and check-in procedure when you have an early onward flight or need to stop travelling for the night. Check which terminal it serves and how you will reach it; “near the airport” does not necessarily mean walkable. See the airport-area accommodation guide.
Before you leave arrivals
- Save the full hotel address in Korean and check late entry with the accommodation.
- Confirm mobile data works, or save the final walking route while you have airport internet.
- Select your terminal and airport-to-city direction on the operator’s page.
- Check the departure and destination at the ticket machine, then allow time to find the stand.
- Keep a second option if the departure changes, sells out or no longer fits your arrival.
