“Seoul Station” can mean the KTX terminal, airport railroad or a subway entrance. Before following a map pin, read the service on your ticket and choose the matching station result. This prevents arriving at the right complex but the wrong part of it.

Match the name and address
In our September 7, 2026 map check, the KTX listing showed 405 Hangang-daero, Jung-gu, while the airport-rail listing showed 378 Cheongpa-ro, Yongsan-gu. These are wayfinding references for different parts of the complex, not interchangeable taxi drop-off instructions. KTX station listing · airport-rail listing.
| What your journey uses | Look for | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Reserved high-speed train | KTX / 고속철도 and the train’s actual departure board | A subway entry tap is your intercity ticket. |
| Airport railroad | AREX / 공항철도 and the correct express or all-stop service | Both services have identical ticketing and departure arrangements. |
| Local subway | The line number, direction and destination | Every entrance is equally convenient for your platform. |
AREX: express versus all-stop
The tourism authority describes the express service as non-stop between Incheon Airport and Seoul Station, while all-stop trains serve stations including Hongik University. Choose the service for your actual destination before buying. Airport transportation guide.
Its published ride-time references are roughly 43/51 minutes for express services from T1/T2 and 59/66 for all-stop services. Those do not include waiting, station passages, security or the hotel walk. Check current departures on AREX, then add the rest of your journey.
When changing to a reserved train
- Keep the reservation accessible and confirm the departure station really is Seoul.
- Follow signs for the correct rail service and concourse.
- Match train number, departure time and destination to the live board.
- Find the carriage/seat on the ticket before carrying bags along the platform.
- If the incoming journey is delayed, ask about the reservation before the departure deadline rather than assuming the next train is included.
Meeting someone or taking a taxi
Agree on a named exit, counter or meeting point, plus the building/service. “Outside Seoul Station” is not precise enough. Share a location from the correct station listing and avoid standing in a gate or escalator approach while coordinating.
Storing luggage
The staffed T-luggage site describes its Seoul Station counter as being from Exit 1 toward Exit 2. Check current access and collection arrangements in the storage guide; the counter’s hours are not the same as the railway’s operating span. Keep your ticket, passport and valuables with you.
